Well, my little girl is 1 year old today...she was born with a smile and continues to smile. We will be helping her celebrate by having a little family party when Daddy gets home (hopefully early) on Friday. If you read this Daddy, don't forget to bring her home some balloons! (well, the balloons are actually for Dayton) Dayton helped pick out cake, icing and sprinkles today at the grocery, so he will help me make some SMASH birthday cupcakes on Friday. He held on tight to those sprinkles in the grocery and had fun opening them and leaving a trail throughout the store. How I didn't notice that I'm not sure...I guess I was too busy trying to keep all the strangers from touching Saige. Coochie coo so cute yah? We will wrap gifts on Friday because often that is the most fun for them at this age...pulling off all that cool paper. Dayton keeps asking when we can eat cake and keeps insisting that Saige needs to open her boxes. I think he is more excited by her birthday than she is! Of course mommy had to celebrate a "tiny" bit today, so she got dressed up and topped off with a bow. She chose her own breakfast..rice crispies and banana and at lunch today she had an ice cream cone with key lime ice cream. Well actually she held onto Mommy's cone and took several bites and then screamed when Mommy took it away. She's still got 6 teeth, is climbing like a monkey now and is up to taking 8-10 steps at a time. Thank you to all of our family and friends that called and or sent gifts/cards. We appreciate your love and miss you all. Look for birthday celebration pictures this weekend.
